How to make tomato soup?

Step 1:Put two tablespoons of oil or butter in a pot and keep on medium-low heat.

Step 2: Add 4-5 curry leaves and 2 chopped chillies in the oil.

Step 3: Add two small bay leaves, ½ teaspoon of finely chopped garlic and 2-3 finely chopped onions to the pan and stir until garlic and onions become little brown.

Step 4: Now add 6-7 fresh chopped tomatoes with pich of salt to taste. You can add basil leaves for the taste.

Step 5: Keep it for 8-10 minutes until the tomatoes soften. Add water if required to keep the consistency.

Step 6: Turn off the heat and keep the pot to cool it down. Remove the bay and basil leaves.

Step 7: Once the tomato mixture has cooled, blend the mixture with blender until it smooth.

Step 8:  You can remove lumps from blended mixture and filter with the help of sieve. Bring the filtered mixture and add some water in the pan to boil on a medium heat. Else, you can discard filtering process.

Step 9: When mixture reaches your desired consistency, turn off the heat.

Step 10: Set the pot aside and serve warm tomato soup with coriander leaves on top. Now you can enjoy a bowl of homemade tomato soup.
