Governor Sergio Ziliotto Requested Reports ORSNA and AA 2000 for General Pico Airport

Governor Sergio Ziliotto instructed the State Attorney to urgently request reports from the Regulatory Body of the National Airports System -ORSNA- and from Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, on “the situation and/or current state of the airport located in Genera Pico”. In addition, it required that “possible supervisions/inspections and/or work carried out or to be carried out therein be made known, in order to become aware of the operation of said airport”.

State Attorney Romina Schmidt notified -on Friday- both the national body and the concessionaire of the air station, given that both are responsible for keeping the airport operational.

The request for reports intends to know “if measures and processes have been adopted that allow the operation of commercial passenger services, ensuring the provision of the service in safe and correct functioning conditions”, during the period in which the Santa Rosa Airport will remain closed for repairs.

The letter mentions that, through mass media, it was learned that La Pampa will be without flights for two months and, through sources from Aerolineas Argentinas, it was learned that the flights to General Pico were later ruled out ” to carry out an inspection of the pavement of the runway”, at the airport of the northern town.
