How To Reduce Hair Fall

Hairfall is a very common problem today that can affect anyone. Frequent and excessive hair loss can be a matter of concern, often causing baldness in men and affecting self-esteem especially in women. However, early diagnosis can control hair fall with certain medications and home remedies.

There are various causes of hairfall such as genetics, pollution, stress, hypertension, nutrition deficiency, PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, high cholesterol, contraceptive pills, ringworm disease, pregnancy, child birth, over use of chemical products and many more. Daily Hair care

1. Wash Your Hair
Most important is to regularly take good care  of your hair by keeping it clean to remove pollution and dirt that may attack hair follicles. Use any mild shampoo to clean scalp and prevent any kind of infection.

2. Oil
Oiling hair with coconut oil or any hair oil such as mustered oil, castor oil, sesame oil, almond oil, moringa oil, argon oil, amla oil and combination of oils help to maintain the health and vibrancy of the hair.

3. Hair massage

  • Coconut milk:
    Apply enough coconut milk once in a week on scalp and hair. Wash it off with mild shampoo after keeping it for 20-30 minutes. Coconut milk will give you smooth and shiny hair.
  • Aloevera:
    Aloevera is widely used remedy for itching and hair loss. Apply Aloevera extract on scalp and keep it for around 45 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water to clean hair. Apply Aloevera 2-3 times a week for good results.
  • Fenugreek:
    Fenugreek is rich in protein which helps to repair damage hair and strengthen roots. Apply Fenugreek seed paste on scalp and hair evenly. Wash your hair after keeping it for around 30 minutes. Apply this hair mask once in a week for healthy hair.

4. Diet
Healthy diet plays crucial role in preventing hairloss. Nutrients like protein, biotin, zinc, iron, vitamin C, vitamin D, Omega-3 Fatty Acids, water and B complex are essential for healthy hair growth. Include Yoghurt, Spinach, Guava, Iron-Fortified Cereal, Sweet Potatoes, lean meat, eggs and cinnamon in your diet.
