PM Modi on Monday announced to launch Health ID for every citizen of the country under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission aims to achieve complete digital health ecosystem for each and every individual of the country with the help of ‘health ID’.
The data of personal health report of every individual, registry of doctor and health care centres available in the country will be digitised and recorded for better accessibility. The government of India has launched many digital initiatives in past few years to ease the process in various sectors.
PM Modi appreciated the big role played by ‘CoWin’ platform for the country in recent times to achieve the milestone of administrating over 86 crore doses of Covid vaccines for the citizens. He further said that the initiative launched to enhance health facilities of the country is entering into new stage which is extraordinary phase.
PM said that Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission will play a major role in facilitating medical treatment for poor and middle class by eliminating the problems they are encountering while getting treatment done.
PM Modi on 15 August 2020 from Red Fort had announced pilot project of the mission and has started implementing in six union territories of the country. Hence, mission will help to access health records of citizens. To get the health ID, patients have to self-register from a mobile or a web application.
This mission aims to achieve ease of doing business for doctors and healthcare centres.
